IEEE CAMAD 2024
The 2024 IEEE International Workshop on Computer-Aided Modeling and Design of Communication Links and Networks (CAMAD) was held in Athens between 21 and 23 of October. I had the opportunity to attend IEEE CAMAD 2024 in Athens, Greece, to present a paper and a demo in a collaboration effort by Iquadrat Informatica, S.L. (IQU) and the ISI/Athena Research Center team.
Paper
The paper “Realizing Intent-driven Network Management with TM Forum Standards” was presented at the Towards Automated and Automatic Intent-Based Networking Workshop. This paper presents an Intent-driven Management framework based on TM Forum standards, addressing aligning customer needs with network operations through Intent-based networking (IBN). The proposed architecture uses LLMs to convert natural language business requests into actionable network tasks, successfully orchestrating video streaming services on Kubernetes and showcasing enhanced autonomous network management and service delivery.
Demo
The demo “Intent-Driven Deployment and Live Migration Using LLM” showcases how large language models (LLMs) can automate network management by translating natural language user requests into TM Forum Intent representations, which generate Kubernetes deployment files for streamlined service deployment. This approach minimizes manual configuration and enhances efficiency in service deployment.
